Ashlyn Paige is our first daughter. She was born 18 April 2005, in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ashlyn has such a kind and loving heart, fun and full of life. She is also such a good big sister. She can be a bit shy at first but loves to play with other kids. She's a big tease sometimes, but I think she got that from her daddy. She's always happy and has a beautiful smile on her face. She loves to go to Grandma Arnold's house and loves to help her. I can't believe how much she has grown. She truly is a wonderful blessing to have in our lives. We love her and wouldn't trade her.

Tia Lynae Arnold

Tia Lynae Arnold-

Tia is my second child. She's beautiful and is such a free spirit. Although she has had to overcome a few compilcations, she hasn't let it slow her down. She's very active, curious, and independent. She loves to be where mommy is and help her. She likes to do things her way and at her own pace. We love her very much and is such a blessing to have her in our lives. Even with the challenges we've had with her, we have learned and grown so much. She is such a beautiful little girl and we love her so much!

As I said before, she is such a "free spirit". Lately, her thing to do is to run naked in the house and outside. Of course, you can't help but shake your head and laugh.

For what it's Worth...

Princess Party

Ashlyn's 4th birthday was on the 18th of April. I decided to let her have a birthday party and invite some friends her age. So, of course, the theme was a princess party. What little girl at that age doesn't love princesses? So I made up the invitations in a scroll form with burnt edges. Everything had to be pink, so I made sure I bought pink decorations and rounded up the little princess things we had around the house. The birthday cake was even a pink castle.

On the big day the girls arrived in princess casual attire and brought their ball gowns for later. To start with, I thought I would do it a little like Cinderella and gave them each a rag to clean the floor and windows with (for pretend).

Then there was a knock on the door and a scroll sitting on the porch. It was an invitation to the royal ball and every eligible maiden was to attend. But of course they had to finish their chores and they didn't have anything to wear. Then the fairy "grandmother" (Maureen) appeared and brought their princess dresses for them to change into.

Now they were all dressed up, they were ready to attend the royal ball.

Next, they each had a crown decorate with jewels and sparkly flowers.

Then we played pin the crown on the prince, pass the poison apple (like Hot Potato) and guess the princess song.

Then last of all we sang happy birthday, opened presents, and ate cake.

A New Place to Play!

Well today I had plenty to do. I started out by making Ashlyn and Tia a play skirt. They loved it, put it on right away, and wore all day. They had so much fun with them. Then next I made a little area for the girls to play. I had a couple big pieces of cardboard left from the Valentines Day dance and I've been trying to decide what to do with them. So I decided to use it to make a little house for the girls. The girls were anxiously waiting for me to finish and Tyrell told me he didn't know I was so artistic. What can I say, I'm bringing out my hidden talents! Oh please! You can't just have a plain boring box. While trying to set it up the girls were so excited running in and out of it and was definitely trying to hurry me along. Well, I'm glad they enjoy it and have a fun place to play. I had to take pictures first thing because I'm not sure how long it'll last.

Updates- What are those???

Well I have to admit, I'm not keeping my blog updated like I thought I would. When I first started I thought this would be so fun. Now I just realize that I don't like to spend that much time on the computer because I have other things I have to take care of, like my kids and house and whatever else that happens to come up. That and I have a hard time coming up with things to write about. I guess I could write totally random things on there just to keep it updated.
Here is somethings new, even though I don't have any pictures but that's okay. Tyrell and I went in for our ultrasound appointment on 12 February 09. First of all and most important, the baby is healthy as far as they could see. The tech asked if we wanted to find out the gender and I of course did but Tyrell didn't know because he was wanting it to be a surprise. His guess was that it was a girl and my guess was a boy. I wanted to find out just to see if I was right or not. SO the tech said it was a boy and he wasn't shy at all. He had his legs all stretched out and arms up by his head like he was all relaxed in there. As Tyrell and I walked out to the car after, he was pretty quiet as if in shock. We're both excited to have this little boy in our family.
